Mutator: CoopCheckpoints

Don't want to start from the beginning after you were wiped out at the last objective in Checkpoint? Then this might be just the mod for you.

Saves the last objective you have done and on round change sets the objective just a few checkpoints behind you (configurable).

Allows the removal of all restricted areas (configurable)

Configuration (showing default values):

[/CoopCheckpoints/Mutators/CoopCheckpoints.CoopCheckpoints_C]

CurrentDecrement=1

MinimumDecrement=2

DisableAllRestrictedAreas=False


Example: You lost at objective F. You're now thrown back to objective E with your minimum being objective D. No matter how often you loose at E now, you're not getting thrown back further than D. Your minimum will be updated as soon as you capture G.


Thanks to Destinate on how to move the restricted areas and RareK on how to set the objectives correctly.

Known Bugs:

- 3D icon of current objective not shown correctly (shows as waypoint, not the letter of the objective)

- Spawns of enemies sometimes isn't working as intended, though this happened in a custom map?

- Objectives not set as inactive properly -> unable to finish map

When failing a checkpoint and next round starts it opens up multiple checkpoints and even when I capture and defend them all I lose when time runs out.

Currently something seems very broken. I have no clue why, as it was working fine and broke without changes.
I'd suggest disabling the mutator for a while until I figure out what is wrong. I'll update the comments and description once I fix it.

Ok thanks so it wasn't a problem on my end. I've been working on setting up a server and was having conflicts with some mods and forgetting to add/tweak things in game.ini so I wasn't sure.

Restricted areas are still active... but the round progress works great!

Should I add a / at the start of the ini line?

Yes, the / at the start of the ini line is necessary. Sorry, was a typo, which is fixed.
I'll look into whether the restricted areas works as intended.

Actually, restricted areas seem broken as I wanted to rewrite that part at some point and seems I forgot to do so. When testing the restricted areas did never get active again at all and are always inactive, no matter what you set in the config.

This would be an improvement to RoundProgress since this defaults to saving for all maps as opposed to defining it for each and every map.

map by map has it's advantages in that you probably don't need either mod, on all maps, especially small ones, eg Ministry... but is an advantage on larger maps.
