IMPORTANT NOTICE: THIS MOD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ISMC ARMORY/LEGACY.

HERE'S HOW TO PLAY THE BETA:

We're working making beta participation easier, but for right now, players & admins follow the instructions below.

PLAYERS do one of the following:

1. Join a server that is currently hosting the latest beta build - you will download the mod directly from them when you join. You can confirm you have the latest beta by going to your game installation folder, checking sandstorm/insurgency/mods/modio, and ensuring folder "169475" is there.

2. Download ISMC "Project Binford beta 3" mod at mod.io (we'll share the link when it's ready) and put folder "169475" in insurgencysandstorm/Mods/modio - overwrite anything it requests to overwrite. You do not need to uninstall the current launched version. I'm making up the file paths In order for the beta to install correctly, you will need to also delete folder "150867" from your modio folder. If you played during the alpha/preview, delete folder "654274" as well. Please also unsubscribe from all ISMC Content on mod.io - right now this can cause issues.

SERVER ADMINS - First, thanks for running ISMC on your server, and extra thanks for helping to test the beta! To run the ISMC Beta on your server, please follow all of the above instructions for PLAYERS. Also FYI: You can choose between two mutators right now - either ISMC_Casual or ISMC_Hardcore ISMC_Casual is: 1.5 PvE sprint speed (1.0 for PvP), 1 run speed, 300 health (100 for PvP), normal animations, no class restrictions. ISMC_Hardcore is: 1.5 PvE sprint speed (1.2 for PvP), 0.7 run speed, 250 health (80 for PvP), hardcore animations, restricted to 11 players max per server. We recommend setting bots to 0.3 or 0.4 to start, as they are considerably more difficult. Please use both ins and sec maps to play as BluFor and RedFor! You can run PvE or PvP, both should work. We recommend using 150-200 supply.

Yes fortunately, but unfortunately I'm getting random disconnects to the servers with the Project Binford Beta 3 since the update :/

Firstly, having lots of fun, not whining just some feedback.
Right now the redfor team's weapons seem better.
HK416 gets 60rd quadstack on redfor, bluefor no such option. Saiga 12 gets drum mag for some redfor classes, VR80?(whatever the mag fed shotty is again) gets standard small mag for bluefor in all classes.
(I lied bluefor has the 60rd quad too its just hard to find)
Slug rounds on the VR80 and Saiga does not seem to work, I still get buckshot even with slugs selected and resupplying.
Grippod is not stable, it keeps drifting in some weird diagonal way up to outer space when prone/resting on something - is this intended or a bug?
Even the vanilla game weapons that had extended mag and bipod options is not here, weapons like FAL/GAG3/VHS/SVD.

Is there any chance to get something like a bolt action mag fed rifle for sniper class?
I mean those absolutely exist, even the existing M24 comes in a variant irl with 5round mags.
In pvp I think it makes sense to leave it manual load but in PVE where there are 1000 bots per player the sniper rifles really struggle to keep up as is.

So all the additions are fantastic and i love how this mod is coming along, but the AI seems to be extremely bad now. They get stuck at spawn a lot (especially the RedFor side) or take ages to get to the objective.

I Tested it in both checkpoint and PvP modes in local play with bots enabled and it happens on almost every map, vanilla and custom. It's definitely this mod doing it as i tested it with vanilla sandstorm and this wasn't the case.

I'm also not using any mods that try to make the AI better.

I like this, but until mod.io supports update segments, at 4.75 gb its just too big, you need to spilt the weapons and cosmetics.. just too much content you get lost/

I hear you, we are not gonna split it up but we can offer the next best thing; having multiple theaters to choose for the server admin. If you run ISMC_Legacy as mutator it will only give you guns, no cosmetics :)

With due respect guys, you obviously do not know how bad is mod.io.
It's impossible to download anything inside the game, it's got interrupted after 30-100 MB.
Every time when someone releases an update for a mod I have to download the file in browser, then call my script to update .json file in mod folder and then unpack downloaded file into it's subfolder.
The downloaded itself got interrupted like 100 times, so my resume plugin for chrome gives up after some time and I need to restart download manually. I have to do it maybe 10 times for a big download like this.
Dedicated downloaders do not work with mod.io for some reason. Downloaded file always comes corrupted. So downloading in browser is the only option.
So releasing a new update every 17 hours?
You lost me as a tester.

Im sorry to hear you have problems with mod.io, I hear you about the recent update. I made a mistake on the fiirst of those two uploads, breaking the AI, so had to do a 2nd upload. It wont happen again!

If you cant even download it with chrome you have internet problems. Never have issues on my side with this at all. Takes about 1-2mins for me to download this mod in game.

I have 40 Mbit Internet connection and this is the only site I have problems with. Never had a problem with downloading anything else. This is the first site in 10 years which made me look for a dedicated downloader software and then when I found that it doesn't work with this site I had to search for a Chrome plugin. Also if you are not aware, I'm not the only person having problems with mod.io. Just visit steam support forum to know more.

i sorry, i dont have discord, but......in my opinion, i loved (ISMCModern,TacticalHealth....and sometimes i play with....HCAnims) that is the muatators that i loved and play with :)

Love the update, it really makes things cleaner to have the "classes" to filter the guns with.

I notice a lot of guns that had extended mags before no longer has any option for those, is this by design or an oversight?
Things like the AK47s um, FAL
Also FAL used to have a bipods option that is no longer present.

The movement speed I struggle with, it feels like my character is a speedboat that can't change direction anymore. I get stuck trying to turn into doorways all the time. Is this normal?

Oversight on the speed, should be fixed with today's hotfix! the mags are coming back, we're just figuring out how to make them "balanced" with the classes! Maybe some classes gets them, some dont?

In my opinion weapons with a high caliber bullet, lets say 7.62x39 and above should not have extended mags (except for Machinegunner) but should be the only ones to have Armor Piercing Ammo for a more immersive gameplay, because most of the time i feel like there is no point in using any other gun rather than a 5.56 because it doesnt have recoil and it drops enemies in 1-2 shots because of the AP ammo...

I realized the extended mags are all gone now as well, getting use to it, but would be nice to see them come back in the next update. As for the movement speed and getting stuck on doors, I haven’t encountered that. I’m running the ISMC_Hardcore, maybe try that one if you are using the classic mutator.
