It is such a ball-ache to update this mod whenever a Sandstorm update breaks it, and because mutators don't play together nicely, if I update anything, it's going to be the Easier Fire Support mutator which also includes all the features of this mutator (i.e. no class limits), and even that is pushing it. So until / unless there is an overhaul of the modding system that makes mutators like this easier to maintain, I'm afraid I'm going to have to shutter it. I'll leave it here for now in case it is useful to anyone. If anyone wants to take this on, I'll be more than happy to send the files that I've got for the old version. I believe you need to add "-mutators=NoClassLimits" to a server command line to make the mutator run (or else add it to an existing list of mutators). You also need to update your mod IDs (usually in mods.txt) with the ID of this mod (110949). You also need to add a parameter of the form '-ModDownloadTravelTo=Oilfield?Scenario_Refinery_Checkpoint_Security', otherwise you will need to restart the level to get the mutator to start operating.

**Known problem: affects movement speeds and possibly other things as well as the class limits
**Solution: I'd fix this if I can but all I can do is replace the whole squad format file (which includes not just class limits but also movement speeds and so on). So far as I can tell, the devs don't provide the hooks to allow you to (just) set class limits in the blueprint (which is what I'd do if I could). I can provide a separate mutator, or possibly allow you to configure this one, to get different movement speeds, but that hardly seems optimal.

We have used this mod on our server right from day one and really love it but it's now broken since last patch. Only class available for selection is Demolition, all others are blank panels.

Just throwing it out there that I would also like to see this in normal checkpoint... I run about 10 servers that vary in settings but are all checkpoint, and my players would definitely love this. Thanks for all your hard work btw!

That it is... I think you can get more than 1 commander slot normally if enough people join, but I think it slightly broke when I made that unlimited. Regardless, I think it is best for gameplay purposes to have commander still limited to 1, so that's what I did.

Couldn't agree more... but I don't suppose there is any way to make this work with Tactical Armory, or maybe build this INTO tactical armory?

The way the mutator system is set up allows you to do a fair bit with one mutator, but tends to make mutators very incompatible with each other. The easiest way is to get a version of Tactical Armory that also removes class limits. It'll be a further tweak to data they're already tweaking. Theoretically it's possible for me to add features into this mod, but I haven't actually looked into what Tactical Armory does, and it would have to be a yet further mutator. If you want flexible mutator behaviours, you're basically going to have a lot of pointless permutations of mutators, which is harder to maintain, yada yada. You could take a more nuanced approach using blueprints but you generally can't write the data that you need to. Fair to say I'm not a fan of the current system...

It is, insofar as it uses the old squad layout files, so you don't get the level caps as well as class limits (some might say a bonus feature...). I am intending to update it so it works for all game types. Hopefully soon.
